The first CLEVELAND trumpet was manufactured by the CLEVELAND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT COMPANY OF
West 3rd. Street, in Cleveland, Ohio in 1919. The H. N. White Company manufactured the Cleveland trumpet
as well as the Gladiator line of instruments for the Cleveland Musical Instrument company from 1923 to 1925 to
fill CMI's back orders. In 1925, Henderson White bought out the Cleveland Musical Instrument company and
hired their 15 workers. Henderson soon manufa
ctured both the Cleveland and Gladiator line of instruments.
