| Hugh E. White was Henderson N. White's young brother. Hugh was born in 1878, in Romeo, Michigan. Hugh played a very important role in the formation of the H. N. White company. Hugh worked diligently with his brother beginning in 1898. In 1903, Hugh became Vice President of the H. N. White company. Hugh held this position until 1940 when he became company President due to the sudden death of Henderson. |

| Records indicate that in 1920, Hugh lived in Cleveland Ohio's 26th. Ward, at the age of 42, with his wife Hallie (39 years old), daughter Virginia E. White (11 years old), and son Robert E. White ( 7 years old). In 1941 after a takeover of the company by Henderson's wife Edna, Hugh resigned as company President. On June 26,1956, Hugh died on Catawba Island, Port Clinton, Ohio. In 1990 both of Hugh's children, Robert E. White and Virginia White -Reinke died. |
