From 1898 to the early 1920'S, all H. N. White mouthpieces were listed as a single or
double digit number. In the early 1920's, all mouthpieces were listed as four digit numbers.
In 1938 single and double digit mouthpiece numbers were re-introduced.

CORNET M-2: Medium cup with medium "easy cushion" rim, medium bore. Throat size
No.24 Drill (0.152"). Standard equipment on all King cornets.
M-5: Soft cushion rim. Throat size No.24 Drill (0.152").
M-7: Standard size medium cup. Throat size No.27 Drill (0.144").
7K: Medium cup.
TRUMPET M-11: Favorite of Professional players. Medium cup, standard rim. Throat
size No.24 Drill (0.152"). Standard equipment on all King trumpets.
M-I2: Popular model, special medium cup with easy pressure rim,Throat size No.26 Drill
(0.147"). Standard equipment on all King trumpets.
M-14: A favorite in large Symphony orchestras. Throat size No. 21 Drill (0.159").   Large
volume.
M-15: Soft cushion rim, small shallow cup, Throat size No. 24 Drill (0.152").
M-17: Standard size, medium cup, Throat size No. 26 Drill (0.147").
S-1: Shallow cup, medium rim.
T model for Trumpet: Medium rim, deep cup. Standard equipment on Cleveland and
Superior trumpets.
C model for Cornet: Medium rim, deep cup. Standard equipment on Cleveland and
Superior Cornets.
7K: Medium cup, 15.95mm diameter, cup depth 13.22 mm, .310" backbore.
7M: Medium cup, 16.26 mm diameter, .13.48 mm cup depth, .335" backbore.
All H. N. WHITE KING mouthpieces were built
to the same high standards as found in King
instruments. In addition to regular models,
special concave and slanting rim models were
made for special lip and teeth formations. To
order a concave rim you would add 3/4 to the
mouthpiece number and to order a slanting rim,
you would add 1/2 to the mouthpiece
number.The 1911 mouthpieces were made of
solid rod brass which would allow the silver
plating to last longer than cast brass
mouthpieces. In 1924 the Equa Tru line of
mouthpieces was introduced.

Second generation.
In 1938, the King "Modern type" cornet and trumpet mouthpieces,
(M2, M5, M7, M11, M12, M14, M13, M17 AND M18) were
introduced. The first generation of this model was designed with two
separate rings of gear lines on the mouthpieces. The second
generation was designed with one gear line. The third generation was
designed with a single groove line.
The Miniature Liberty trumpets
mouthpieces were stamped "S" or "M".
