The first Triumphal trumpets were manufactured in 1898. There were several design changes made and the
trumpets became more popular in the new design. From the years 1898 thru 1958, the Triumphal trumpets were
designed with the Besson (forward canting) second slide. From 1958 thru 1965 the standard rear canting second
slide was manufactured on the Triumphal trumpets.
1957 ARCHIVES indicates the Triumphal trumpet length @ 39 1/2".
