The original 1918 MASTER TRUMPET:
This trumpet is free blowing with low resistance. This trumpet is designed with the patented sleeve slide adjustment for
tuning and making quick change from Bb to A. Either high or low pitch, with extra long tuning slide will draw to any pitch
required, with the quick change to A, all set into one slide. This trumpet was patented August 27, 1918.Valve pistons
constructed of nickel silver. Made in two bore sizes, small at .438" and medium at .448". Bell diameter 4 1/2", length 19",
weight to include the mouthpiece is 37 ounces.
Over the years, several modifications occurred to the MASTER cornet.
1927 Master cornet in low pitch, length increased from 16 1/2" to 18 1/4".Medium bore
model  number is 1065 and the large bore model number is 1066.
1928 Sterling bells offered on master cornet, sleeve adjustment modified to new style,
low pitch length back to 16 1/2".
1930 Little finger hook added to leadpipe, new solid beveled type bell rim, adding strength
and weight where most needed, for tone and durability. Valve top and bottom caps style
changed, mouthpiece receiver design changed, and  third slide water key added.
1957 First valve trigger optional on Master cornet. Single tongue brass valve guides in
production.
The Master cornet was the favorite of
Classical, Jazz, and Marching Band
musicians for over 50 years and still going
strong! The Master was available in the
Silvertone,  Silversonic, and Super 20
models. The Master cornet and it's
variations were Professional models.

The Original 1918 MASTER CORNET
The design is artistic and strikingly original. The cornet balances nicely in your hands, being easily grasped without
cramping the fingers. Every note is in perfect tune. The pedal tones and the upper register are produced with equal ease.
This cornet is made in medium bore .458" and large bore .468". Bell diameter is 4 5/8", low pitch weight 37 oz. in silver
plate, 35 1/2 oz. in brass. Length 16 1/2" for low pitch and 15 1/2" length for high pitch. High pitch weight 36 oz.
Combination slide to change keys from Bb to A. The long tapered mouthpipe and bell are unbroken by slides, thus
improving the tone and making the instrument play easier. The cornet was offered in either low pitch or high pitch at
your option. Nickel silver pistons hand ground to fit special alloy valve cases. Triple tongue valve guides.
