SILVERSONIC trumpet specs:
Bore .448", bell diameter 4 7/16", weight 2
pounds 7 ounces, length 19 1/2 inches.
Oven baked clear lacquer, micro tru valves
made of solid nickel silver, hard plated and
honed to tolerances of .0009 inches
between the piston and valve casing. Solid
sterling silver bell. Tone projects farther
with less effort. Bell flare plated in 24 carat
gold to add a striking contrast to the
sterling bell. Exclusive one piece valve
casing controlled to tolerances of .0002
inches. First, second, and third valve slides
hydraulically formed without distortion.
Patented single tongue valve guides
precision formed of the highest quality
brass to insure continuing smooth action.
Water keys forged in brass. Leadpipe
constructed of brass on standard
Silversonic models Sterling silver leadpipes
were available with special order.
SILVERSONIC cornet Specs:
Bore .458", bell diameter 4 5/8", weight 2
pounds 9 ounces, length 16 1/2 ". Oven
baked lacquer, exclusive seamless bell tail
that is wave free and uniform in grain
structure and metal thickness. Solid
sterling silver bell and leadpipe (on 1067-S
model). Tone projects farther with less
effort. Inside bell flare plated with 24 carat
gold to add a striking contrast to the
sterling bell. One piece valve casing
controlled to tolerances of .0002 inches.    
Valve pistons are made of solid nickel
silver and hard nickel plated and held to
tolerances of .0009 inches between the
piston and valve casing. Main tuning slide
hydraulically formed without distortion.

SILVERSONIC serial number database
begins at 305xxx (1950) and ends at
416xxx (1965). The SILVERTONE serial
number database begins at 108xxx (1928)
and ends at 310xxx (1950).
The SILVERSONIC line of trumpets and cornets followed the
SILVERTONE line of trumpets and cornets. The later models of
SILVERSONIC trumpets were advertised as Advanced models.

Some Silversonic cornets, as well as some
Silvertone cornets, did not display the slide
stop collar tuning adjuster. Most models
with and without the tuning collar have
scored slides for tuning to A. The tuning
adjusters absence on some models was
mainly for cosmetic reasons.
