Silver Mark
The "L" marks on the bells of Silvertone trumpets and cornets indicate the bell construction is
of Sterling silver. The "L" is not an indicator of the Liberty model. Some Silvertone trumpets
and cornets do not have the silver mark, only the bell engraving of "SILVERTONE".
Some Silvertone cornets, as well as some Silversonic cornets, did not display the slide stop collar
tuning adjuster. Most models with and without the tuning collar have scored slides for tuning to
A. The tuning adjusters absence on some models was mainly for cosmetic reasons.
